This Friday’s tutorial is an intro to watercolour through the painting of leaves and wreaths. If you’ve never tried watercolours before painting simple shapes like …
This was great! So helpful, thank you 🙂
What paper are you using? What if there is no watercolor paper here in ph? what is the alternate?
I would love to watch your tutorial, but half of the details are washed out because of the too strong light / camera angle.
Also, I wish you'd have mentioned it somewhere that the actual tutorial, leaves and wreaths, starts at 3:44. It's fine if you want to chat or talk about stuff in the begging, just point out when the actual thing you say in the title starts at for those who are there just for that.
And I'm not a fan of your brush holding. I know you know it is not the correct way, but you probably learned to hold your brush when you were a kid and it just stuck. But it can cause a lot of unpleasant stuff, for example carpal tunnel syndrome, since you move your whole wrist instead of just your fingers. 🙁
Gorgeous. You just talked me into ordering all kinds of watercolor supplies. I'm going to try watercolors now. Like I need another project. Sigh. It's so beautiful I can't help myself.
Hi Shayda, love your tutorial. very relaxing and chilled out. thank you 🙂
im your 70,000th subscriber yaay!! ?
I made it and it turned out really pretty
I found this extremely helpful! Will be subscribing and looking forward to learning more from you as I continue on my watercolor (and art in general…) adventures! 🙂

Why didn't I saw this much earlier? Sighs This is amazing, I really need this type because I'm into Calligraphy and bothered by making Backgrounds.
I was always so wary of watercolour, but the way you explain all the concepts … somehow you make it sound so much more fun and interesting! Thank you for your wonderful teaching, Shayda!
Please, subtitles in Portuguese!! <3
This is so pretty!!!! ??
I love this! Except to me it looks like there's a lack of greenery at the very bottom. I am definitely going to try this however! ^-^
wow love your illustrations and watercolor videos…you explain it very well….I wanted to ask you which watercolor paper should beginners use?
Really lovely – you make it accessible. Thanks
i was using mixed media tto keep my options open but just got 140 pound weight because it just akes a huge difference with the watercolor ..and for my greeting cards i need quality paper …
Are you Canadian, I love your accent!
What a delightful teacher and lovely lady you are! I feel inspired and confident to do a last-minute Mother's Day card now.
Thank you for the tips, you're very thorough when explaining?
Awesome tutorial. I am here for the first time. I've already started to paint with watercolors. It will help me a lot 🙂
Oh my gosh you are so talented I love this so much!!!
Thank you for the video, it's a beautiful reath indeed ! i am glad that now i know how to draw it ! just one point, the corner where you're putting the camera and the light coming from the right side makes it hard to see what you're painting sometimes, i wish if you could find a solution for that 🙂
its looks so easy ?
